The European Student Card (ESC) is a standard of recognition that student service providers are gradually becoming familiar with. With a simple QR code verification, these providers can verify a student’s status, which allows them to bypass the usual paperwork normally needed to grant discounts, benefits, or access to services intended for students in mobility programs.
The ESC-tension 2 project encourages all types of service providers to adopt the ESC. This initiative aims to help them recognise student status across all Erasmus + countries without the need for complex bureaucratic processes.
Since the ESC is not yet recognised by all student service providers within the Erasmus + countries, it is important for students to actively promote the ESC and encourage those who are unaware of it to explore its benefits.
The ESC offers numerous advantages for both students and service providers as it is free and easy to implement. By simplifying administrative procedures for organisations and international students, the ESC can significantly enhance the benefits it offers.
