The European Student Card (ESC) aims to enhance student services accessibility across all countries participating in Erasmus+, ensuring that as many students as possible can enjoy the benefits of the card, whether physically or digitally.
This single card serves as a gateway to a variety of essential services in many universities, including access to university buildings, library facilities, canteens, printing services, medical services, and more.
It is important to understand that the ESC is not a new card issued by the university where you will be studying during your next mobility period.
Generally, only your home University can provide you with a Student Card that complies with ESC standards. This card features a specific layout and a QR code that allows access to all services offered by service providers that recognise students using the ESC.
Before your next mobility period, make sure to check if your student card meets the ESC standards. If your University has not yet adopted this European standard, please encourage them to do so soon to ensure you don’t miss out on these valuable opportunities!
