The European Student Card Initiative (ESCI)is a key element to unlock the full potential of the European Education Area by fostering student mobility and participation in educational and cultural activities, promoting a strong European Student Identity, and playing an important role in simplifying the students’ mobility experience and the related administrative procedures for Higher Education Institutions.
The three building blocks of the ESCI are the following:
European Student Card (ESC): transforms current student cards into a European Student Card so that students can benefit from on- and off-campus services during their mobility
Erasmus+ App: a single app to help Erasmus students with all their practical administration – before, during, and after their mobility program.
Erasmus Without Paper (EWP): a digital solution connecting systems in use at Higher Education Institutions so they can manage their Erasmus+ mobilities online.
The ESC-tension projects (1 and 2) and their toolboxes also support the ESC adoption among all the stakeholder groups, either Higher Education institutions, Student Service Providers or Students themselves.
